California, Our Sick Child

Hello Again and welcome to honest thoughts.  This is my second blog and this one will be about good ol' sweet California.  California is one half to the idealistic image most people have of America.  (The other being New York) in my opinion.  The state of dreams, sunshine, and possibilities.  But to all who live here know that image is a little far fetched now-a-days.  Now personally when I think about California, my mind can't seem to get past San Fransisco.  Southern California is the pinnacle of the state to me, no offense northern cali folks.  It's funny how through our economics problems, and budget issues, we still have an undying sense of loyalty to our state.  I find it interesting though how the decisions made for the majority of the people they affect, don't even live nearby.  When you mention California to a foreigner I can imagine that he first think they think about is Los Angeles, our very own city of angels.  But for some reason, our state capital is all the way up in Sacramento, which makes no sense to me what so ever.  I think if we ever want to see California back on top as one of the leading states in the nation, we should change a few things.  First I think we should put someone in charge who actually knows whats best for California, someone who's experienced what the rest of us are experiencing.  Not to say Gov. Schwarzenegger hasn't been doing a wonderful job, because we all know he has.  -_- And secondly, I truly believe that the capital of California needs to be moved to L.A.  Now I know your saying L.A. has lost its shining exuberance, and yes I agree.  But I'm almost positive that by moving the capital to L.A. would be the armorall  it needs to come back to its shining glory.  All hope has not been lost for California, but there is little left, and if we as her loyal inhabitants don't do something ourselves, no one else will. This has been an  Honest Thought, from A Californian mind, I hope You Enjoyed indulging into my mind today.

Grand Opening

So here is the Grand Unveiling of my new Blog.  I think I'll start by just talking about some of the things I've been thinking about lately.  First I would like to personally thank all women in the world.  Lately I've been appreciating, to say the least, the sheer beauty of all women.  It seems like there is something about each woman I see that just makes me smile, I don't know what it is but I seem to be able to find that one unique beauty each woman has, whether it be a beautiful face, an amazing body, or just a beautiful aura they give off, but I would like to Thank You.  Next, I've been thinking about the whole concept of suicide. (Nice way to transition huh) Now I haven't been thinking about killing myself but I've been trying to think about what someone who does want to end their life would think about.  Now I wouldn't consider myself a total Christian, but I do believe in GOD and I do believe in personal morals or "guidelines" of life.  Now personally I think you have to be pretty selfish to take your own life, I mean think about the little girl who was hit by a car or shot and had no choice when her life was instantly extinguished.  Now what goes through the mind of someone who wants to commit suicide?  Do they want it to be quick, what could be so bad that you no longer wish to be apart of this Earth, do they want an audience? Who knows.  Lastly, I've been thinking about money.  Now many people say money can't buy happiness, or money isn't everything.  But I have to disagree.  When I was young I had dreams, and all I wanted to do was be a doctor.  Everyone tells you, "Oh yea you can be whatever you want!" But let's be honest here for a second, without money your options are pretty limited.  Especially today in California, oh the many, many times I've wanted to just pack up and leave California just because of the monetary sinkhole we've fallen in.  Maybe one day money won't matter anymore, maybe everyone will be dished out an equal share.  But I doubt that day is anywhere nearby, and as of today, I honestly don't care what type of profession I get into, as long as it gets me a check big enough to live life to the max .  As one of my favorite artist Kid Cudi says in his song Pursuit Of Happiness (Nightmare), " I'm on the pursuit of happiness..." It's only our American right to want the best of the best, whether that be a new Xbox 360, or something as simple as a Pillow Pet , I hope everyone who reads this does everything in their ability to pursue that happiness.  This as been an  Honest Thought, from A Californian mind, I hope You Enjoyed indulging into my mind today.
